3 Days to Go! 3 Ride or Die Authors.

With just three days until the launch of LIMINAL - Issue 0, I want to share with you three of my ride or die authors. If they write it, I’m going to read it!

Grady Hendrix

For me, Grady Hendrix is the king of campy horror. I read several of his books last year, however the one that stands out the most to me is Witchcraft For Wayward Girls. The way in which political commentary has been intertwined with horror and a story of witchcraft was phenomenal. Grady’s books are equal parts grotesque, funny and nostalgic, there is truly something for everyone.

Sarah J Maas

Sarah J Maas is truly the reason behind my bookish journey. I began reading her books a couple of years ago, immediately jumped onto TikTok and the rest is history. Crescent City is the most recent series I completed and it’s become one of my Roman Empire trilogies. Sarah’s books provide escapism, messy characters and romance that makes you feel cosy on the darkest of nights. Whilst we all anticipate the release of the next ACOTAR book in October, I implore you to complete Crescent City if you haven’t already!

Neil Shusterman

This man is a genius. The Scythe series hits that uncanny, philosophical and thought provoking tone that sits at the heart of LIMINAL. I recommend this YA trilogy to everyone. If you loved The Hunger Games, then you will thoroughly enjoy this. Neil writes about morality like a puzzle, ensuring that on every page you are forced to consider what ‘good’ even means. The characters in these novels never just ‘sit’ they grow, fracture and rebuild. Again, I cannot wait for his future release Rising Thunder, later in the year.

These are some of the many authors who have shaped my reading journey over the past couple of years. Their fingerprints are all over LIMINAL which makes me all the more excited for the launch! Just three days to go, I can’t wait to share the world of LIMINAL with you all.
